Avery Sharpe's new recording Avery Sharpe Trio Live on JKNM Records is now available. This is the trio's first live venture. Live was recorded at Fraser Performance Studio at WGBH in Boston, MA. This is a follow-up to the trio's previous recording Autumn Moonlight (2009). The acoustic live recording features, of course, Avery on acoustic bass and long time associates Onaje Allan Gumbs on piano and Winard Harper on drums.
The recording features three of Avery's originals, one of Onaje's originals, McCoy Tyner's "Blues On The Corner", Yusef Lateef's "Morning" and an arrangement of "My Favorite Things".
